Palu, Central Sulawesi, (antarasulteng.com) - The Mutiara Sis Aljufri Airport in Palu, Central Sulawesi, has intensified security arrangements in the run up to the 2017 Eid al-Fitr holiday mass exodus to anticipate any untoward incident.
"Security remains our priority at the airport to ensure the safety and comfort of travelers," Mutiara Airport Chief Benyamin Noach Apituley remarked here on Monday.
He noted that since some time, the airport has opened a command post (Posko) for the Eid homecoming to ensure the smooth flow of travelers using air transportation services.
He noted that Posko officers perform activities round the clock since the flow of homecoming visitors has certainly increased in the previous years, as the Eid festivity draws closer.
According to Apituley, the increased flow of homecoming travelers, of course, must also be anticipated, with increased security at the airport to anticipate any untoward situation. (skd)
